Ken Gill, Chair, PHUMC Foundation Board of Directors

As we continue our series of introducing to you the board members of the PHUMC Foundation, we meet Ken Gill. Ken is serving in his second year as the Chairperson of the PHUMC Foundation Board of Directors. In that capacity, Ken is also an ex-officio member of all Foundation Committees.  Ken and his wife Dottie joined PHUMC in 1971 during Dr. Argue’s tenure and then raised their family here.

After a successful career in commercial real estate in central Arkansas, Ken now serves PHUMC though the Foundation and his work with the PHUMC Food Pantry and Men Alive!  Ken and Dottie are also frequent attendees at the monthly Primetimers events.  Their initial involvement with the Foundation was through their membership in the Willing Friends Society. Ken explained that he and Dottie wanted “to give back to the Church that has given so much to us.”

When considering highlights of his time on the Board of Directors, Ken mentions the Foundation’s continued support of the Raney Lecture Series and the support of the PHUMC music ministries.  Looking forward, he hopes to see the Foundation have the capacity to sponsor more college scholarships.  And, he reminds us all that when making long-term financial plans, ‘your contributions matter, no matter how small.”

We thank Ken for his leadership, discernment, and support of the Foundation, the Board, and the PHUMC congregation.
