I never imagined the first post to PHUMC Foundation website would be a memorial to Rev. Lynn Lindsey, the first Executive Director of the PHUMC Foundation. Rev. Lindsey was truly a force to be reckoned with, and the sooner the better. With a velvety voice a determined stance, she made her vision of a PHUMC Foundation come to life in the early 2000s.
A life-long member of Pulaski Heights UMC, there was no better a choice than Rev. Lynn Wimberly Lindsey to lead PHUMC Foundation in the early years. She was able to fill a Board of Directors that navigated the waters of creating this institution. She created the Willing Friends Society to introduce giving to the Foundation to the congregation and enrolled nearly 200 families at its inception. We mourn the loss of Rev. Lindsey but we also know we will meet her once again in heaven!
